The AIHW have released a reportidentifying trends and differences in alcohol and other drug use, harms and treatment in major cities and regional and remote Australia.  They have found that people in regional and remote areas are more likely than those in major cities to drink alcohol in risky quantities, are more likely to seek treatment, and that the burden of substance use increases with remoteness.
