'The Conversation' article on popular drug myths

Drug use and addiction are popular themes in movies and television, but they often get things very wrong. Fortunately Prof Nicole Lee, Jarryd Bartle and Paula Ross have sought to set the record straight in a handy article titled '8 things film and TV get wrong about drug and alcohol treatment' published in The Conversation earlier this week. The article dispels popular myths like the '28 Day rehab in a luxury retreat', 'once an addict, always an addict’, 'rock bottom' and 'tough love' along with a range of other inaccurate and unhelpful concepts concerning substance use and treatment.
