Case formulation (also known as clinical or problem formulation), is a theoretically-based explanation or conceptualisation of the information obtained from a clinical assessment.

This workshop will provide workers with an overview of the key ingredients for a comprehensive case plan including:

  • Understanding the difference between pre-disposing and precipitating factors
  • Subjective VS objective assessments
  • The SOAPIE and DARE Frameworks
  • Use of appropriate language and terminology
  • Tips and tricks to developing a strong caseplan
  • Case examples for practical skills development
