Alcohol and other drug withdrawal can be complicated by a range of issues including poly drug dependence, ethical dilemmas, and coexisting physical and/or mental health conditions.
This course is for Registered Nurses across Queensland wanting to develop their knowledge and skills to enable assessment and management of patients
experiencing complex withdrawal syndromes.
The workshop will utilise didactic presentations linked to practical examples. Course content will focus on the Queensland Alcohol and Drug Withdrawal Guidelines, and include complex withdrawal scenarios often faced within treatment settings.
Presented by the Statewide AOD Nurse Educators
