Assessing and Managing Withdrawal - BENZODIAZEPINES

This is one of five sessions which will focus on a different substance of dependence.

This session focuses on Benzodiazepines and will include: 

  • An introductory overview of benzodiazepines
  • Benzodiazepine intoxication
  • Benzodiazepine withdrawal 
  • Assessing and managing risks of benzodiazepine dependence
  • Strategies for effective management, including withdrawal

This workshop is not recommended if you have previously completed the Assessing and Managing Withdrawal workshop, or Introduction to Withdrawal Management.

Pre-requisite:  AOD and the Brain eLearning, or 

AOD and the Brain ZOOM Part 1 and 2, or

Understanding Psychoactive Drugs workshop.

Prior to signing up to attend it is expected that you will ensure you are able to access a computer with an internet connection that will allow streaming of video.
