Assessing and Managing Withdrawal - OPIOIDS

This is one of five sessions which will focus on a different substance of dependence.

This session focuses on Opioids and will include: 

  • An introductory overview of opioids
  • Opioid intoxication
  • Opioid withdrawal 
  • Assessing and managing risks of opioid dependence 
  • Strategies for effective management, including withdrawal

This workshop is not recommended if you have previously completed the Assessing and Managing Withdrawal workshop, or Introduction to Withdrawal Management.

Pre-requisite:  AOD and the Brain eLearning,or 

AOD and the Brain ZOOM Part 1 and 2, or

Understanding Psychoactive Drugs workshop.
