Assessing and Managing Withdrawal - ALCOHOL

This is one of five sessions which will focus on a different substance of dependence. 

This session focuses on Alcohol and will include:

  • An introductory overview of alcohol
  • Identifying the needs of people who use alcohol
  • Alcohol intoxication
  • Alcohol withdrawal 
  • Risks of alcohol withdrawal
  • Strategies for effective withdrawal management

This workshop is not recommended if you have previously completed the Assessing and Managing Withdrawal workshop, or Introduction to Withdrawal Management.

Pre-requisite:  AOD and the Brain eLearning,or 

AOD and the Brain ZOOM Part 1 and 2, or

Understanding Psychoactive Drugs workshop.
