The AOD sector is often over-worked and under-resourced; burnout in the healthcare industry and AOD workforce is well documented. Burnout can have significant costs to the individual as well as to the wider health care system. Patients are taught about the importance of stress management, lifestyle balance, utilising support, but AOD workers may not be applying these skills for enhancing their personal resilience. Post-acute COVID-19 challenges are raised and how individual AOD workers can become resilience in this landscape.
