Micro-counselling Skills training involves a blended learning program consisting of the self-directed e-Learning module – Micro-counselling Skills (perquisite) - and a three-hour virtual workshop. Participants are recommended to complete the e-Learning module in the week prior to their schedule virtual workshop (approx. one hour). The best learning outcomes will be achieved through completing these sessions in order.

The workshop builds on the topics covered in the introductory e-Learning module and offers opportunities for further application and practice. Topics covered in the virtual workshop session include:

  • An overview of nonverbal and verbal micro-counselling skill elements. 
  • Individual and culturally appropriate micro-counselling skills in practice.
  • Adaptation of micro-counselling skills for diverse settings. 

Pre-requisite:  Micro-counselling eLearning.

System requirements: 

Prior to signing up to attend it is expected that you will ensure you are able to access a computer with an internet connection that will allow streaming of video.
