Target audience: Queensland based workers in any role across healthcare and community settings who are supporting individuals impacted by problematic alcohol and drug (AOD) use.

This workshop equips participants with skills to support people in managing relapse through tailored conversations, a flexible framework, and person-centred planning that adapts to evolving needs.

Important: To receive a Certificate of Completion for this workshop, participants will need to attend for the full duration of the training. Please ensure your availability prior to registering. 

What will be covered:

  • The purpose of Relapse Prevention and Management (RPM) and its essential components.
  • How to adopt an appropriate RPM stance to support tailored and engaging conversations.
  • Constructive approaches to averting and addressing lapse or relapse, which encourage continued service engagement.
  • Using a flexible framework to guide RPM conversations effectively.
  • Recording RPM plans to reflect a person’s needs and preferences while meeting service requirements.
  • Updating and adjusting RPM plans to align with a person’s evolving goals and circumstances.
