MODULE AIM:The aim of this module is to introduce learners to ways of working with people with AOD issues who experience functional and/or cognitive challenges in order to best support their health and wellbeing.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • define cognition and functioning and describe the ways AOD use can impact these
  • describe the ways a person may experience cognitive and/or functional challenges in their daily activities
  • suggest and/or implement strategies that clients and workers can use to assist with managing these challenges.
