Patients with substance use disorders requires a comprehensive approach to assessment and treatment which includes consideration of the bio-psycho-social determinants of health. Exploring and discussing a range of complex patients will provide insights into decision-making, evidence based treatment pathways and multidisciplinary management for consideration in practice.
