Safewards is a new model of care designed to reduce conflict (aggression, rule breaking) and containment (coerced medications, restraint and seclusion) in inpatient settings. It explores ways of reducing the frequency of aggression, risk of violence and harmful events, thereby keeping patients and staff safer in hospitals.
