This flyer is an example of how an organisation is actively seeking to include the perspectives of those who have used their service.
The Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) provides a means for people with a lived experience of substance use and/or mental health concerns, and families/carers or kin, to actively participate in and contribute to service development across all The Buttery programs. It aims to bring people with a lived experience/carer perspective to service delivery and decision-making processes.
The LEAG is an advisory group to the CEO and the Board to help realise The Butterys’ commitment to quality and safety in the provision of all programs and to all who use the services and to provide services that are inclusive, promote and maximise safety and minimise clinical risk. Lived experience and carer participation is a valuable asset in the development, planning, delivery and evaluation of The Buttery services.
