IRIS is a validated, evidence-based, culturally-appropriate screening and brief intervention tool developed by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  It comprises screening instruments for both alcohol and other drugs and mental health & emotional wellbeing, as well as accompanying instructions and resources to inform a brief intervention.

We strongly recommend that you undertake IRIS training or speak with an Insight staff member before using the Body Cards to learn how they are intended to be used in direct practice.  For more information email insight@health.qld.gov.au
