MODULE AIM:	This module provides a broad overview of the foundational concepts that are used when working with people who use psychoactive substances.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:	By the end of this module, learners will be able to: utilise best practice AOD language and terminology, including slang and common acronyms describe psychoactive substances and differentiate the three main drug classification types describe why people use substances, including patterns of use describe key theoretical models such as 'Drug, Set and Setting' and the ‘Stages of Change’ describe the policy and practice of harm minimisation.
