MODULE AIM:The aim of this module is to equip workers with a greater understanding of the concepts of substance tolerance, dependence and withdrawal.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 

  • explain the physiological concepts of tolerance, dependence, toxicity and withdrawal, including their mechanisms and real-world implications
  • integrate this knowledge into practice to reduce harm and promote informed decision-making for people affected by substance use.
LENGTH:30 minutes
CPD:Participation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
