MODULE AIM:This module aims to increase the learner's knowledge and understanding of foundational concepts commonly used within the field of sexual health.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • describe why it is important for workers to be equipped to respond to the sexual health needs of the people we work with;
  • discuss concepts relating to sexuality, gender, sexual health and wellbeing;
  • describe the key models that outline the intersection between AOD use and sexual health; 
  • identify the key barriers preventing clients from accessing sexual health services, including the impact of stigma and discrimination; and
  • utilise best-practice language and terminology when talking about sexual health.
LENGTH:1 hour
CPD:Participation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
