TARGET AUDIENCE

This module is targeted towards designated AOD Peer Workers.

Non-designated workers who have an interest in the AOD peer workforce and how they share, as well as those who are considering disclosing their own AOD lived-living experience in a supporting role, may also benefit from completing this module.

MODULE AIMThis module provides an overview of different contexts for sharing personal AOD-related stories and experiences, and introduces a decision-making guide that AOD peer workers can use to plan, deliver and reflect upon this process within their role.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • describe different contexts and challenges when sharing their AOD lived-living experience
  • apply a decision making framework when considering when, where and how sharing their AOD lived-living experience is appropriate

CPDParticipation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
