MODULE AIM

The aim of this module is to provide an overview of the benzodiazepine withdrawal state, and to equip learners with strategies and tools for supporting individuals experiencing benzodiazepine withdrawal.

N.B. For specialist withdrawal management training tailored for nurses and other medical staff, please access our face-to-face and online workshops.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • describe the neurobiology and symptomology of benzodiazepine withdrawal
  • describe treatment options for managing benzodiazepine withdrawal.
