In this short module, you will learn the steps to screen clients for smoking status and provide a 5A's brief intervention using the Queensland Health Smoking Cessation Clinical Pathway.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • identify when the Smoking Status and Smoking Cessation Clinical Pathway is required and the steps to complete these items in CIMHA
  • recall the 5A’s of brief intervention to effectively achieve a comprehensive completion of the Smoking Cessation Clinical Pathway
  • recall knowledge of quit smoking products including their use in treating nicotine dependency and how clients can access them.
LENGTH30 minutes
CPDParticipation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
