MODULE AIMThis module aims to increase the learner's knowledge and understanding of foundational concepts commonly used within the field of sexual health.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • describe in simple terms STI symptomatology, testing, treatment, and contact tracing. 
  • describe the foundational aspects of STI risks, and harm reduction and prevention. 
  • discuss concepts relating to risk perception and risk behaviour. 
  • discuss harm reduction and prevention strategies with a client, while maintaining awareness of barriers to having safe sex and accessing sexual health services.

CPDParticipation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
