Webinar
Social media platforms have become a hub for information regarding potentially risky behaviours, particularly among youth and young adults. As these online platforms continue to gain popularity, it is likely that exposure to certain high-risk and publicly available content, such as that which depicts active substance use or discusses access to licit or illicit substances, may influence the norms and risks perceptions of youth and young adults. This webinar explores (1) the content, creators and viewers of substance-related imagery online, (2) the implications exposure may have on behaviours, attitudes and intentions, (3) the impact availability of this content may have on youth access to substances and (4) potential regulation methods to limit high-risk exposure.
