This talk will take a journey into substance use across the lifespan – starting around conception and extending through to old age and end of life care. En route we will consider poisonings in young children, the influence of trauma on substance use in later life, adolescent experimentation and delayed initiation in recent years, and substance use in adults and older Australians.
