TARGET AUDIENCEAll AOD, Mental Health, and SEWB workers who provide counselling and/or case management style support to people accessing services, with a focus on team leaders, practice leaders, and service managers.
MODULE AIMThis module aims to build the confidence and capability of both workers and their managers to lead and embed trauma-informed care within AOD and mental health service settings.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • explain the role of leadership in embedding trauma-informed care at all levels of service
  • identify behaviours and practices that model trauma-informed leadership
  • access tools such as audits, capability frameworks, and the Self-Reflection Compass to guide trauma-informed improvements
  • engage in co-design and feedback processes with clients and staff to strengthen trauma-informed practice
  • manage the impact of change when introducing trauma-informed care, using trauma-informed change management strategies
