MODULE AIMIn this module the four processes of MI are described along with the techniques to be applied with each of the processes. The final of the four processes is 'planning', which is the main focus of this module. Knowing when to start planning and then how to go about it are essential to be able to use MI.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • understand the flow of the four processes of MI
  • recognise the signs of readiness to commence planning and know the steps required in developing a plan
  • understand the need to strengthen commitment and know how this can be done.
