MODULE AIMThis module aims to equip workers with essential knowledge of substance use impacts, including toxicity, overdose, tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • explain the physiological concepts of tolerance, dependence, toxicity and withdrawal, including their mechanisms and real-world implications
  • integrate this knowledge into practice to reduce harm and promote informed decision-making for people affected by substance use.
