We interviewed youth AOD workers, who shared their thoughts and advice on how to work with young people in a trauma informed way. Many young people in AOD treatment have experiences of trauma. Addressing trauma effectively is one of the keys to assisting a young person to develop control over their substance use. The youth AOD workers talk about some of the strategies that they’ve learned from working with young people and remind us of what it is that they enjoy about working with young people.
