MODULE AIM:This module provides participants with a theoretical understanding of how to respond to an opioid overdose and administer and determine the use of naloxone preparations Nyxoid® and Prenoxad®. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn how to detect the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose  
  • Understand how to respond to an opioid overdose
  • Determine the use of opioid antagonists
