Target audience: Queensland based workers in any role across healthcare and community settings who are supporting individuals impacted by alcohol and drug (AOD) use.

This workshop equips participants with skills to support people in managing relapse through tailored conversations, the introduction of a flexible framework that can be used by workers, and person-centred planning that adapts to evolving needs.

Important: To receive a Certificate of Completion for this workshop, participants will need to attend for the full duration of the training on both days. 

What will be covered:

  • Adopting an appropriate Relapse Prevention and Management (RPM) stance to support tailored and engaging conversations.
  • Learning approaches in responding to lapse or relapse, which encourage continued service engagement.
  • Using a flexible framework to guide RPM conversations effectively.
  • Recording RPM plans to reflect a person’s needs and preferences.
  • Updating and adjusting RPM plans to align with a person’s evolving goals and circumstances.
