Workshop
This workshop is part 1 of the Alcohol Withdrawal series
Please note: this session is designed for staff with a nursing or medical background.
Through practical, discussion-based learning, you will build the skills to identify and interpret the signs and symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Working alongside fellow participants in group activities, you will explore the risk factors associated with withdrawal and build confidence in recognising early signs of deterioration including withdrawal seizures, alcohol hallucinosis, delirium tremens (DTs), and Wernicke's encephalopathy.
The following is required in order to enrol and participate in this workshop:
Please note: Keeping your camera on and actively participating throughout the session via microphone and chat is an essential requirement of this workshop, including in breakout rooms with other participants. If this is not possible you will be exited from the session out of respect to the other learners.
As these workshops are brief, interactive training sessions, entry will close 5 minutes after the start time. If you arrive after this time, you can rebook another session through our website. We recommend joining a few minutes early to ensure your participation.
To receive a Certificate of Attendance you are required to stay for the full duration of the session. Please ensure your availability prior to registering.
