This workshop is part 2 of the 3-part Alcohol Withdrawal series

Please note: this session is designed for staff with a nursing or medical background.

In this interactive, hands-on session you will gain practical skills in using, interpreting, and applying the results of the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol revised (CIWA-Ar). Through engaging discussions and practice activities with fellow participants, you will explore the CIWA-Ar in depth to support individuals experiencing alcohol withdrawal.

The following is required in order to enrol and participate in this workshop:

  • You are a Queensland-based worker.
  • You have a working camera and microphone which are turned on and remain activated for the entire session.
  • You have the ability to access links and resources shared in the session, with options to print or view them electronically on your device.
  • You have a quiet, appropriate space with minimal distractions.
  • That materials or resources from this workshop are not shared without Insight’s prior approval.

Please note: Keeping your camera on and actively participating throughout the session via microphone and chat is an essential requirement of this workshop, including in breakout rooms with other participants. If this is not possible you will be exited from the session out of respect to the other learners.

As these workshops are brief, interactive training sessions, entry will close 5 minutes after the start time. If you arrive after this time, you can rebook another session through our website. We recommend joining a few minutes early to ensure your participation.

To receive a Certificate of Attendance you are required to stay for the full duration of the session. Please ensure your availability prior to registering.
